jennyfromthepark Needed: Home owning advice for a friend! May 21, 2007 5:51 PM Looking for some book suggestions... My close friend is buying her first home. It is a MAJOR fixer-upper that she is purchasing from her grandmother. She is in her late 20's, single and on a very tight budget. She really seems to be going into this whole thing with a blindfold, for she has a decent savings but is going through it quickly. Does anyone out there have some suggestions on books that would be good for her to read up on? Luckily since she is purchasing it through family, she is doing most of the fix up work before the big purchase. I figured there has to be some type of Modern girls guide to home-owning book out there somewhere! I'm a renter, so all the advice I can offer her is to call someone! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
